Jennifer also did live comedy and acting productions for The Broadway Comedy Club and was a featured dancer for the Janusphere Dance Company in New York City.

A Charlotte native, she began her journey at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she majored in dance, studying choreography, technique  and theater. She also minored in Economics. Jennifer founded the university’s second student-run hip-hop dance team, TanTrum.

She became an apprentice with Moving Poets Theater of Dance, performing in the prestigious Swan Lake and Johannesburg Stories which featured story teller Gcina Mhlophe. She was a principal dancer and instructor for numerous local, regional and touring theatrical productions and promos including the NY Fringe, Project Hometown, Redbull,  Kids Night on Broadway, Classical  Savion Glover Promo and "Kids Night on Broadway" at Blumenthal Arts Center.

After graduating from UNC Charlotte, Jennifer pursued her passion for performance, relocating to Atlanta and later New York City, where she trained at top institutions including Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and Broadway Dance Center.

Her work as a professional dancer and actress led to appearances alongside major artists and productions, including with Kanye West at the BET Hip Hop Awards, PBS tour for television show "Raggs," and a Cirque du Soleil event in Atlanta. She also appeared as a dancer and principal actress in television and national campaigns, including roles on Investigation Discovery, HGTV,  ABC Watch commercial,  Dynamic Sparkle Campaign for the National Retail Federation, and various print, hosting and live performance productions.

While working as an artist, Jennifer built a strong foundation in people-centered work,  from leading fitness and dance classes at the YMCA and coaching clients as a certified AFAA personal trainer, to serving as a customer service representative, before being promoted to weight loss consultant and a program sales leader with Jenny Craig in Atlanta and New York City. In these roles, she helped individuals transform their lives through accountability, confidence and goal-setting. Those experiences sharpened the communication skills and emotional intelligence that now define her storytelling.

Her transition into journalism was intentional. While hosting a live student talk show production at NYU, Jennifer discovered a deeper calling:  telling real stories on a real-life stage. She returned to Charlotte to formally pursue broadcasting, earning top honors at Central Piedmont Community College, where she graduated with a 4.0 GPA, was named Outstanding Student in Broadcasting & Technology, earned a spot on the President’s List and member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society,
and anchored the school’s first student-produced newscast.

Jennifer interned at Spectrum News in Charlotte and WTVI PBS Charlotte before graduating, getting hands-on experience and training to be a Multimedia Journalist. She also co-hosted a weekly podcast with journalists at the Carolina School of Broadcasting.

As a multimedia journalist, Jennifer has reported in multiple markets, covering everything from breaking news and investigative stories to community-driven features. Her work has earned industry recognition, including a West Virginia Broadcasters Association award for Best Investigative News Story and the South Carolina Education Association’s School Bell Award.

As a multimedia journalist, Jennifer delivers compelling, character-driven stories that reflect the heartbeat of the communities she serves. Known for her strong live presence, creative storytelling and ability to connect with people from all walks of life, she brings authenticity, energy and depth to every assignment.

Jennifer is a storyteller in every sense,  shaped by the stage, grounded in real-world experience, and driven by a passion to inform, inspire and elevate voices in the communities she serves.
